Dead by Daylight 10th anniversary Collector's Set

Fellow survivors, if you’ve wandered in the Fog for long enough, you might be interested to know that a Collector’s Edition for Dead by Daylight is currently available for pre-order.
It comes with a rather premium price tag of $250.

At that level, the question is not simply what’s included, but whether the set manages to justify its ambition aesthetically.

So let’s take a closer look.

The centerpiece of the collection is a 26.5 cm (10-inch) statue of The Huntress strangling Sable. In terms of scale and build quality, it certainly feels substantial. The composition is dynamic, and framing the characters at the knees rather than going full-body gives the piece a tighter, more readable silhouette.

That said, the choice of characters and the specific moment depicted don’t feel particularly iconic. With such a large and visually rich roster, selecting a single scene to represent Dead by Daylight is no easy task, but this one doesn’t immediately crystallize the game’s identity. It’s not poorly executed, but as the main visual anchor of a high-end collector’s set, it may not evoke the kind of instant recognition or symbolic weight one might expect.

Next comes a 192-page A4 hardcover artbook, which is arguably the most compelling item in the set. Without knowing its exact contents, it’s difficult to fully assess its value, but the format alone suggests a genuine investment in presentation. A large, hardcover artbook feels appropriate for a collector’s edition positioned at this price point, and it carries the promise of offering deeper insight into the game’s visual universe.

The set also includes a replica of the in-game flashlight. I’ve always had mixed feelings about this type of object. Sitting somewhere between prop and display piece, it doesn’t fully commit to either role. It’s faithful to the game, but aesthetically restrained, and as a result, it risks feeling more like a novelty than a meaningful collectible.

We then find 10 killer pins, which make sense given the size of the cast. As smaller, customizable items, they integrate more naturally into a collector’s ecosystem. They don’t demand attention, but they offer variety and choice, which feels more in tune with Dead by Daylight’s identity.

The same idea applies to the 10 postcard-sized killer posters. Conceptually, the format works, but visually, the execution feels surprisingly underwhelming. This is especially noticeable coming from a studio that consistently produces strong, evocative key art for its chapters.

Here, the imagery lacks the impact and refinement one might hope for in a premium physical set.

On the digital side, the collector’s edition includes:

  • 9,000 Iridescent Shards
  • 1 exclusive player banner
  • 1 exclusive player badge

These bonuses are consistent with what you’d expect, but they clearly play a secondary role in the overall value proposition.

Taken as a whole, this $250 collector’s set does not include the game itself, and its value relies almost entirely on the statue and the artbook. None of the included items are inherently bad. What feels slightly off is the absence of a strong, unifying aesthetic vision that elevates the collection beyond the sum of its parts.

For a collector’s edition positioned this high, the expectation isn’t just quantity or quality, but coherence. A sense that every object contributes to a clear visual and symbolic statement. Here, that intention feels present, but not fully realized.
